Informed Delivery is a service that lets you preview incoming mail and manage packages from the United States Postal Service. Informed delivery lets you know when your package is due to arrive, so you can be more prepared for it. It also helps you manage a large volume of incoming mail. The service is free of charge.

To sign up for Informed Delivery, first go to your account. Then click the "Enroll" button. You will be asked to verify your address and mobile phone. After you confirm your address, you will receive an invitation code. Fill in the information required for identity verification and click "Subscribe." Within a few days, you should start receiving notifications.

Participating mailers can supplement a digital mailpiece with an interactive color image. These images will allow consumers to ride along with the package. Once a ride-along image is clicked, users can visit a digital site to learn more. The page also lets them see the results of their campaigns. This allows the consumer to make an informed decision about whether to accept the package they receive.

Informed Delivery is available to eligible residential and PO box customers. Most ZIP codes in the country are covered. To enroll, you must provide proof of identity in person or by mail. The USPS will also need your PS form 1093 and online payment record to verify that you are who you claim to be.
